Gus the Wine Guy welcomes Coby Parker-Garcia, owner & winemaker of El Lugar Wines, and charter member of Gus the Wine Guy’s Winemaker’s Hall of Fame!
Join Coby and Gus for a “Backyard BBQ” (in the cool air conditioned Tasting Room) and intimate wine tasting of El Lugar’s newest terroir driven releases.
Coby has been making wine in the Central Coast since graduating from Cal Poly SLO in 2000. Coby is head winemaker at Claiborne & Churchill and has his own winery called El Lugar which means “the place” in Spanish. El Lugar produced 550 cases total in 2016. Small lot, vineyard designate wines that reflect the terroir of the vineyards.
We will be tasting the following El Lugar Wines (including a white Pinot Noir) to enjoy with tasty backyard bbq fare alongside Coby’s superb wines. Don’t miss this fun and exciting chance to taste the wines of one of the top winemakers in California’s Central Coast.

Tickets for the tasting are very limited and must be pre-purchased online. Deadline to purchase is Tuesday, July 17th. Early Bird Tickets purchased by Saturday July 14th are $30 per person. After July 14th, tickets are $35 per person.
